8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Two domed towers
Each front tower ends in small round cupolas with a cross on top. Print friendly adapts these small parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print. Print slowly so the tips cool.
- Round window and arches
The front has a large round window and rows of small arches. A layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
St. Raymond's Church, Bronx is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Raymond's Church, Bronx takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Raymond's Church, Bronx
St. Raymond's is a Catholic parish church of the New York archdiocese, in Parkchester in the Bronx, where Castle Hill Avenue meets Tremont Avenue. The parish was established in 1842. A dedication on August 31, 1845, the feast of St. Raymond Nonnatus, gave it its name. Also in 1842, Bishop John Hughes bought the acre the church stands on and made a temporary church out of an old wooden barn.
The first church grew too small, and parishioners had to stand at Mass. Ground was broken on August 4, 1897, for a new church in the Byzantine Revival style. George H. Streeton of Brooklyn was the architect; he was also behind that borough's Cathedral Basilica of St. James. The new building was dedicated on October 23, 1898, and in 1932 a marble main altar replaced the old wooden one.
The parish is older than the Bronx as a borough, since the area was then still southern Westchester County. Nine mission churches in the Bronx were its responsibility by 1850. Poor roads and a shortage of priests meant that the priests rode a circuit, visiting each mission in turn.
