11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Pointed towers and pinnacles
Pointed towers and small pinnacles rise at the front of the church. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print.
- Layer height for Gothic detail
A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps fine vertical Gothic detail crisp, and slow printing helps the tall tips.
- One piece with the ground
St. Veronica Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Veronica Church takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Veronica Church
The Church of St. Veronica, a Roman Catholic parish church of the Archdiocese of New York, is at 153 Christopher Street, in the block between Greenwich and Washington Streets. The location is the West Village part of Manhattan's Greenwich Village. The parish was established in 1887, with its church built over the years 1890 to 1903.
The parish was founded to serve the growing number of Catholics in the area, whose arrival had overcrowded St. Joseph's in Greenwich Village. Archbishop Michael A. Corrigan created 99 new parishes between 1887 and 1902, and this was among them. A former stable on Washington Street, close to Barrow Street, hosted its first Mass. The site for the church was bought in 1888 for $69,500, and the cornerstone was laid in March 1890.
John J. Deery designed the church in the Victorian Gothic Revival style. Services were held in the basement, finished by that October, until the parish could raise enough money to resume building in 1902, and the church was completed in 1903. A four-story brick and stone parochial school followed in 1905, to designs by William K. Benedict. The church lies within the Greenwich Village Historic District Extension I, designated in 2006.
