31 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A dense window grid
Regular rows of windows cover the whole building. Full detail keeps them on a larger print, while Print friendly merges the finest lines at small sizes. Print slowly for the tall, slim shape.
- One piece with the ground
The The Bryant is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The The Bryant takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the The Bryant
The Bryant is residential, with an address of 16 West 40th Street, and it sits to the south of Bryant Park in Midtown. HFZ Capital Group developed it, and the firm of architect David Chipperfield designed it. The structure reached its top in 2016, and construction wrapped up in 2018.
City approval for plans first came in 2007. The site had held a parking lot, and it was the last empty lot on Bryant Park. HFZ collected plans from several firms, among them Morris Adjmi and Spivak Architects, then chose Chipperfield. For Chipperfield this is a first: a ground-up commission in New York. Earlier his firm did the Bryant Park Hotel interior, inside the American Radiator Building next door.
The facade uses precast, polished concrete, which Chipperfield chose so the building would look different from new glass-faced construction. The precast contains chips of marble and sandstone in varied colors that reference nearby buildings. The interior came from Chipperfield's firm too, with herringbone floors, and the facade continues inside the residences.
About this model
The The Bryant is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
