16 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Fine facade details
The facade carries small window and trim details. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail with a larger print and 0.12–0.16 mm layers keeps more of them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Quin is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Quin takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About The Quin
Two blocks south of Central Park, at 57th Street and Sixth Avenue, stands The Quin, a luxury hotel in Midtown Manhattan. It opened in 1929 as the Buckingham Hotel, a Beaux-Arts building designed by the American architect Emery Roth. It reopened as The Quin on November 11, 2013, after a redesign by the New York City firm Perkins Eastman. The hotel has 208 guestrooms, 28 of them suites, and its building has 17 floors above ground.
The hotel runs an arts program called Quin Arts, which hosts exhibitions, salons, lectures and artist receptions, along with film premieres, book debuts and musical performances. In its artist-in-residence program, artists stay at the hotel while they work; most have been street artists, whose drawings and paintings appear on doors, stairwells and elsewhere inside, with more work shown in the lobby. Marc Chagall, Georgia O'Keeffe and Ignacy Jan Paderewski are among its former guests.
About this model
The Quin is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
