Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Asymmetric stepped crown

The tower steps back unevenly near the top and ends in an open crown. Print friendly adapts these small features to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on larger prints.

  2. Rows of small windows

Many windows line the tall facade. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and slow printing with good cooling keep the fine vertical detail crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The The Tower of 15 Central Park West is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The The Tower of 15 Central Park West takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the The Tower of 15 Central Park West

Beside Central Park on Manhattan's Upper West Side, between 61st and 62nd Streets, stands 15 Central Park West, or 15 CPW, a luxury condominium. Robert A.M. Stern Architects designed it in the New Classical style, and construction ran from 2005 to 2008. It has two parts: the House, with 19 stories on the eastern part of the block, and the Tower, with 35 stories on the western part, facing Broadway. Around 200 apartments are inside, two-thirds of them in the Tower.

At 550 ft (170 m), the Tower stands on a retail podium that follows the diagonal line of Broadway. Setbacks appear on both the House and the Tower, echoing older apartment buildings along Central Park West. The Tower has the more intricate massing, with uneven setbacks, and an open loggia forms its crown.

Indiana limestone clads the facade, taken from the quarry that supplied the Empire State Building. Durability was one reason for the choice, and so was the presence of other limestone buildings along Central Park West. Large windows, many with small balconies, pierce the walls.
