24 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A small house among towers
The birthplace is a low building surrounded by much taller neighbors, so it can look small in a compact print. A larger print size keeps its facade details readable.
- Fine facade detail
Use Print friendly for small prints so thin details adapt to the scale. For a large print, try Full detail with a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm.
- One piece with the ground
Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site
At 28 East 20th Street in Manhattan's Flatiron District, between Broadway and Park Avenue South, stands a rebuilt brownstone that reproduces the house where Theodore Roosevelt was born. Roosevelt went on to become the 26th U.S. president. The first house on the lot was built in 1848, and the Roosevelts bought it in 1854.
Roosevelt's birth on October 27, 1858 took place in the house, and the family lived there until 1872, when they moved farther uptown, to the address 6 West 57th Street. In 1916 the original building was demolished for retail space. The Women's Roosevelt Memorial Association bought the lot after Roosevelt's death in 1919 and had the house rebuilt.
The job of reconstructing the house and designing the museum next door went to the architect Theodate Pope Riddle. The twin row house at number 26 served as a model, and some of its architectural elements were incorporated into the replica. That twin was torn down to make room for the museum. The rebuilt house shows the home in its 1865 state and was rededicated in 1923. The Theodore Roosevelt Association gave it in 1963 to the National Park Service, and its creation as a National Historic Site on October 15, 1966 automatically added it to the National Register.
