22 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A curved tower with fine ribs
The tower has a curved front covered in fine vertical ribs. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps those lines crisp, and printing slowly helps the tall shape.
- Rooftop details and a round annex
A round annex and several rooftop boxes sit near the tower. Print friendly adapts these small details to your print scale; Full detail keeps them.
- One piece with the ground
The Theodore Roosevelt United States Courthouse is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Theodore Roosevelt United States Courthouse takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Theodore Roosevelt United States Courthouse
At 225 Cadman Plaza East, in the Downtown Brooklyn area just east of Brooklyn Heights, stands the Theodore Roosevelt United States Courthouse. It houses the federal trial court of the Eastern District of New York and serves as that court's administrative headquarters. Across Tillary Street is the Federal Building and Post Office, a historic building that holds the district's bankruptcy court.
The site was once home to an earlier federal courthouse, the Emanuel Celler Federal Building, a 6-story building from 1963 that became too small for the court. A major renovation began in 1999 under the architect César Pelli. When it was finished in 2006, the building had fifteen floors and a total floor area of 750,000 sq ft (70,000 m2), with 16 courtrooms, plus 9 for magistrate judges.
The construction included security features such as a structural frame meant to withstand an explosion and laminated glass facing the exterior. The courthouse received its present name on September 17, 2008, honoring Theodore Roosevelt, after legislation introduced by Senator Charles Schumer was signed into law by President George W. Bush. A rededication ceremony followed on December 30 of that year.
