  1. Dome and minaret

A domed mosque with a minaret puts a tall, thin element beside a broad roof. Print friendly adapts slender parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them for a larger print or a finer nozzle.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Tokyo Mosque is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Tokyo Mosque takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Tokyo Mosque

The Tokyo Mosque, or Tokyo Camii, combines a place of worship with a Turkish culture center in Tokyo's Ōyama-chō district, part of Shibuya ward. No mosque in Japan is larger. Hilmi Şenalp designed the present mosque, completed in 2000, in an Ottoman style, while the first building dates to 1938.

Bashkir and Tatar immigrants from Russia built the first mosque and an adjoining school in May 1938, after the October Revolution. Abdurreshid Ibrahim, its first Imam, and Abdülhay Kurban Ali directed the work. The mosque was demolished in 1986 because of severe structural damage. Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs supported a new building, begun in 1998. About 70 Turkish craftsmen finished the details, and marble was imported from Turkey.

Construction finished in 2000 for about 1.5 billion yen, and the mosque was inaugurated on June 30, 2000. It has an area of 734 square meters (7,900 sq ft), with one basement level and three floors above ground and 1,477 square meters (15,900 sq ft) of total floor space. Its main dome is 23.25 meters (76.3 ft) tall and rests on six pillars; the adjacent minaret is 41.48 meters (136.1 ft) tall. A common area occupies the first floor; above it, the prayer room contains the mihrab and a minbar.
