About Treasure Island Hotel and Casino
Treasure Island Hotel and Casino is a pirate-themed resort in Paradise, Nevada, on the Las Vegas Strip, also called Treasure Island Las Vegas and "TI". Its 2,885 rooms are in a 36-story tower, and the casino measures 4,452.6 m2 (47,927 sq ft). In a 2003 makeover the tower was repainted a darker shade, with 6,200 gallons of terra cotta paint called "Salmon Stream", which replaced an earlier pink color.
Steve Wynn developed the resort through his company, Mirage Resorts. Joel Bergman and Jon Jerde were among the project's designers. Mirage Resorts announced the project on October 30, 1991, and groundbreaking followed on March 2, 1992. Construction was first projected at $300 million, yet it ended up costing $430 million. The resort opened to the public on October 26, 1993. Its facade held a lagoon with two pirate ships, where free pirate battles were staged daily for about two decades. Mystère, performed at the resort since 1993, is the longest-running Cirque du Soleil show.
MGM Grand Inc. acquired Mirage Resorts in 2000 and was later renamed MGM Mirage. In April 2003 the resort announced a revamp aimed primarily at adults, and it began using the shortened name "TI". Sirens of TI replaced the first pirate show, called Battle of Buccaneer Bay. Businessman Phil Ruffin bought Treasure Island from MGM for $755 million, finalizing the purchase on March 20, 2009, when it was the sole hotel-casino on the Strip with a single individual as its owner. Ruffin brought in two signature restaurants, Señor Frog's in 2012 after Gilley's Saloon in 2010.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Ribs and raised lettering
- The tower faces carry fine vertical ribs and lettering near the top. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- Tall angled wings
- The tower is two tall wings meeting at an angle. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the long vertical lines crisp, and a larger print size helps the narrow rooftop block.
- One piece with the ground
- Treasure Island Hotel and Casino is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Treasure Island Hotel and Casino takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
