24 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Packed in among neighbors
The model sits close to neighboring buildings, so narrow gaps and sharp edges appear near the base. A larger print size keeps those gaps readable.
- Slow, fine layers
Printing with 0.12–0.16 mm layers keeps vertical trim crisp, and a slower pace helps the narrow upper parts of surrounding buildings.
- One piece with the ground
Trinity Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Trinity Church takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Trinity Church
Trinity Church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, at 89 Broadway in Lower Manhattan, in the Financial District, across from Wall Street. The church building used since 1846 is the parish's third. Richard Upjohn designed it in the Gothic Revival style, and it went up from 1839 to 1846 on the site of the second building. Until 1869 no building in the United States stood taller, and in New York City it held the height record until 1890.
The parish's first church, built in 1698, was a one-story rectangle with a tall steeple facing the Hudson River; the 1776 New York City fire destroyed it. The second building, on Broadway at Wall Street, was consecrated in 1790. Architect Frederick Clarke Withers designed a reredos and altar, put up in 1876–1877 as a memorial to William Backhouse Astor Sr.
The church adjoins Trinity Churchyard, which is among the parish's three burial grounds, and Alexander Hamilton is buried there. On the church's grounds in 1754, King's College was founded; it became Columbia University. The main church building has been named a National Historic Landmark and a New York City designated landmark, and it also contributes to the Wall Street Historic District.
