  1. Wide, low block

This is a wide, low building with a flat roof and fine vertical window detail on its walls. A larger print or Full detail keeps that detail; Print friendly simplifies the smallest features.

  2. One piece with the ground

The United States Post Office, Canal Street Station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The United States Post Office, Canal Street Station takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the United States Post Office, Canal Street Station

Originally known as Station B, the Canal Street Station is a post office at 350 Canal Street, on the corner of Church Street, in Tribeca. Alan Balch Mills, a consulting architect, designed it for the Treasury Department’s Office of the Supervising Architect, and it was built in 1937.

The two-story building is symmetrical in form and Moderne in style; its walls are buff terra cotta panels, with black terra cotta at the base. A frieze of fluted terra cotta has a tarnished silver finish. The guidebook AIA Guide to New York City praises the articulated inset bay windows on Church Street. Inside is a relief titled "Indian Bowman", made in 1938 by artist Wheeler Williams. The National Register of Historic Places listed the post office in 1989.
