  1. Hipped corners and many windows

The roof has hipped corner sections and the walls carry rows of small windows. Print friendly adapts these details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on larger prints.

  2. One piece with the ground

The United States Post Office, Freeport is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The United States Post Office, Freeport takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the United States Post Office, Freeport

The town of Hempstead, in Nassau County, New York, includes the Freeport post office, a historic building from 1932. Consulting architects Tachau and Vought designed it on behalf of the Office of the Supervising Architect. The building has two stories, a symmetrical mass of brick with limestone trim, and Colonial Revival styling. Its entrance pavilion is three bays wide and topped by a gable roof.

The lobby holds two murals by William Gropper that were put in place in 1938; one is titled Air Mail. The post office earned a National Register of Historic Places listing in 1989, as part of a thematic group of New York State post offices dating from 1858 to 1943.
