  1. Pediment and window detail

The entrance pavilion carries a small triangular pediment, and the long facade has many narrow window openings. Print friendly keeps these readable at small sizes; choose Full detail on a larger print to keep every opening crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

United States Post Office, Jackson Heights is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. United States Post Office, Jackson Heights takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About United States Post Office, Jackson Heights

In Jackson Heights, part of Queens County, New York, stands this post office, whose original section dates from 1936–1937. Architect Benjamin C. Flournoy designed it while serving as a consultant for the Office of the Supervising Architect. Four bays were added on the east side in 1964, lengthening the building.

In its original form the post office is a brick building one story tall, with symmetrical massing and a principal facade nine bays across, designed in the Colonial Revival style. Its three-bay entrance pavilion has four plain brick pilasters of the Doric order holding up a limestone pediment shaped like a triangle. A mural from 1940 by Peppino Mangravite inside depicts episodes from the past of Jackson Heights. The National Register of Historic Places recorded the post office in 1988.
