  1. Gabled ends with chimneys

The two end pavilions have steep gable roofs with small chimneys at their tops. Print friendly adapts the chimneys to the print scale; use Full detail on a larger print and a fine layer height to keep them.

  2. One piece with the ground

United States Post Office, Long Beach is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. United States Post Office, Long Beach takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About United States Post Office, Long Beach

This historic post office is in Long Beach, Nassau County, New York, and was built in 1936. The Office of the Supervising Architect designed it under Louis A. Simon, and the National Register of Historic Places listed it in 1989.

The building is one story tall, symmetrical in massing, and with red brick facing and Colonial Revival styling. A five-bay central section has a gable roof, and single-bay end pavilions on each side have their own gable roofs set perpendicular to it. A mural hangs in the lobby: Jon Corbino painted The Pleasures of the Bathing Beach, dated 1939, for the Treasury Section of Fine Arts.
