Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Hexagonal plan and eagle grilles

Angled walls meet at the entrance corner, and small roundels with grilles sit above the windows. Print friendly adapts the small details; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  2. Flat roof edge

A thin limestone edge runs around the flat roof. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the edge crisp on a bigger print.

  3. One piece with the ground

The United States Post Office, Mineola is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The United States Post Office, Mineola takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the United States Post Office, Mineola

Mineola, New York, has a post office that serves ZIP Code 11501; it stands on the northeast corner of First and Main Streets. Mineola is the seat of Nassau County on Long Island. The brick building was built in 1936 in the Colonial Revival style as part of a large Depression-era public works project that produced many new post offices across New York.

Among New York post offices of this style and era, the Mineola building is unusual: its plan is a rough hexagon, which lets the main entrance face southwest, toward the corner. The design came from Peabody, Wilson & Brown, and it was one of the firm's last works. The National Register of Historic Places listed it in 1989 for these reasons.

The building has two stories, a steel frame, and six sides covered in brick laid in Flemish bond. Limestone enframements surround the double doors, and above each window bay sit a roundel and a bronze grille shaped like an abstract eagle. The roof is flat, with limestone coping. Inside, the lobby has pink Tennessee marble wainscoting and a terrazzo floor.
