23 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Small building, small details
This is a small two-story building in a dense city scene, so the entrance and roofline details are tiny. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; a larger print size keeps more.
- One piece with the ground
The United States Post Office, Old Chelsea Station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The United States Post Office, Old Chelsea Station takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the United States Post Office, Old Chelsea Station
Originally called "Station O," the Old Chelsea Station post office stands at 217 West 18th Street, in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. It was built in 1935. Eric Kebbon, a consulting architect, designed it as a project of the Office of the Supervising Architect. Its National Register of Historic Places listing dates from 1989.
The building is seven bays wide and two stories tall, brick with limestone trim, Colonial Revival in style. At the main entrance are a ten-light transom, Doric pilasters and a blind stone fanlight carved with eagles. Woodland animals are the subject of two cast stone bas-relief panels inside, Deer and Bear, that artist Paul Fiene made in 1938.
