  1. Small window panes

The front carries many small window panes. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail on a larger print keeps more of them.

  2. One piece with the ground

The United States Post Office, Pearl River is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The United States Post Office, Pearl River takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the United States Post Office, Pearl River

Franklin Avenue meets South Main Street at the downtown of Pearl River, a hamlet in New York, and the US Post Office stands near that junction. The brick building dates to the mid-1930s and serves ZIP Code 10965. Its structure has one story on a steel frame, with five bays by five bays and a flat roof.

The design applies the Colonial Revival style common for post offices of its era, but it is described as unique to this building. Strong modernist influence shows: the exterior has almost no ornament, and there is no public art inside. Along with many other post offices of the period in New York, it received its National Register of Historic Places listing in 1988. In 2005 Congress gave the building a new name, Heinz Ahlmeyer, Jr. Post Office Building, honoring a local soldier who had been missing in action during the Vietnam War until his remains were identified that year.
