About the USS Arizona Memorial
The USS Arizona Memorial stands at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941, and 1,177 sailors and Marines were killed on USS Arizona; the memorial marks where 1,102 of them rest and commemorates that day. Built in 1962, it spans the battleship's sunken hull without touching it, and visitors arrive only by boat. The National Park Service operates the visitor center, which opened in 1980. The memorial is one of several Hawaii sites that make up the Pearl Harbor National Memorial.
The memorial was designed by Alfred Preis, an architect from Honolulu. The U.S. Navy asked for a form like a bridge floating above the ship, with room for 200 people. The structure is 56 m (184 ft) long, with a peak at each end linked by a sag in the middle. Critics first likened it to a "squashed milk carton", while Preis said the sagging center and strong ends express initial defeat and ultimate victory. It has an entry, an assembly room and a shrine; the assembly room has seven large open windows on each wall and the ceiling, marking the date of the attack.
The memorial was dedicated on May 30, 1962, which was Memorial Day. The National Register of Historic Places added it on October 15, 1966. The battleship's sunken remains received National Historic Landmark status on May 5, 1989, a status the memorial itself does not share. Legislation required private financing for the memorial, which was budgeted at $500,000, though $200,000 of the cost was subsidized by the government.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 2 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 3 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 4 mm | 1:2,344 |

- Thin beams over open windows
- Slender cross beams span the openings in the roof. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every beam on a larger print.
- A long, sagging span
- The structure is long, low and curved along its length. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the sag smooth, and a larger print size gives the window openings more room.
- One piece with the ground
- The USS Arizona Memorial is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The USS Arizona Memorial takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The USS Arizona Memorial is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there an USS Arizona Memorial STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The USS Arizona Memorial grows with the print: about 2 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
