  1. Thin supports under a heavy roof

The ground level is a recessed glass front with slim supports below a wide, heavy upper block. Print friendly keeps those slim parts sturdy at small sizes; Full detail suits a larger print.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Vivian Beaumont Theater is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Vivian Beaumont Theater takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Vivian Beaumont Theater

The Vivian Beaumont Theater stands at 150 West 65th Street, within Lincoln Center, on Manhattan's Upper West Side. It is the one Broadway theater located outside the Times Square Theater District. Its name honors the heiress and actress Vivian Beaumont Allen, who gave $3 million toward construction in 1958 but died before it was finished. It opened on October 21, 1965.

Eero Saarinen, a modernist architect, designed the theater, which was among his last works, and Jo Mielziner, a Broadway scenic designer, supervised the interior. The front on the Lincoln Center plaza is glass and steel under a travertine attic. The main auditorium seats about 1,080 on two levels, and its flexible stage can add a thrust section whose length varies.

The building is shared with the New York Public Library's performing arts library, which wraps around and above the theater. Two smaller off-Broadway venues are part of it: the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater in the basement, with 299 seats, and the Claire Tow Theater above, with 112. A blackened-steel Calder sculpture, Le Guichet, stands on the plaza outside.
