40 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Setbacks and a slim top
The tower steps back several times toward a slimmer top. Printing with 0.12–0.16 mm layers keeps each step crisp, and a slower speed helps the top stay clean.
- One piece with the ground
The Warwick New York Hotel is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Warwick New York Hotel takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Warwick New York Hotel
The Warwick New York, a luxury hotel, stands at 65 West 54th Street where it meets Sixth Avenue on the northeast corner, in Midtown Manhattan. It was built between 1925 and 1927. Emery Roth designed the 36-floor Renaissance Revival building, working with the firm George B. Post & Sons.
The three-story base is covered in limestone and granite. Above it, a brown brick superstructure has two wings that project toward the street, starting at the property line. The wings step back several times as they merge into the main slab, which tapers to a tower at its top following more setbacks, giving the structure a strongly vertical look.
William Randolph Hearst built the hotel in 1926 for $5 million. The actress Marion Davies had a floor in the building designed specially for her. Murals on 54, the hotel's restaurant, displays 1937 murals by the American illustrator Dean Cornwell, which were fully restored after a 2004 renovation, and Randolph's Bar & Lounge has a rosebud motif that refers to Hearst's purported nickname for Davies.
