Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Rows of small window openings

The long, many-winged block is covered in repeating window rows. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every opening, which suits a larger print and a finer nozzle.

  2. One piece with the ground

Westbeth Artists Community is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Westbeth Artists Community takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Westbeth Artists Community

Westbeth Artists Housing is a nonprofit complex of homes and commercial space, dedicated to affordable living and working room for artists and arts groups in New York City. It fills the full city block between West, Bethune, Washington and Bank Streets. That puts it in the West Village of Manhattan, and its name comes from the first two of those streets.

The complex occupies the Bell Laboratories Buildings, which served as the headquarters of Bell Telephone Laboratories from 1898 to 1966. They were converted in 1968–1970 under the oversight of architect Richard Meier. The result is a complex of 13 buildings, counted among the earliest cases in the United States of reusing industrial buildings as housing and workspace for artists.

The project is low- to moderate-income rental housing together with commercial real estate, and is billed as the world's largest project of its type. Support came from the federal government, through the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as the J.M. Kaplan Fund, and Westbeth opened in 1970.
