  1. Cresting, cupola and finial

The iron cresting, the small cupola and its pointed finial are the thinnest parts of this model. Print friendly adapts them to the scale; a larger print or Full detail keeps more, and slow printing helps the finial.

  2. One piece with the ground

The William B. Cronyn House is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The William B. Cronyn House takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the William B. Cronyn House

In Park Slope, Brooklyn, stands the William B. Cronyn House, also called the House at 271 Ninth Street. It dates from 1856: a three-story dwelling in the Second Empire style with a mansard roof covered in slate. Ornamental iron cresting runs along the roof, and a half-story cupola with a clerestory sits at its center.

Charles M. Higgins bought the house in 1898 to serve as headquarters for his company, the Charles M. Higgins Company. A five-story factory built the following year behind the house, at 240 Eighth Street, became the Higgins Ink factory. Since 1982 the National Register of Historic Places has included the house, and its facade has been a New York City Landmark since 1978.
