6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Almost hidden by neighbors
In the model this theater sits low between very tall buildings, so only small parts of it show. A larger print and a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keep its small details; Full detail keeps every modeled feature.
- One piece with the ground
The Winter Garden Theatre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Winter Garden Theatre takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Winter Garden Theatre
At 1634 Broadway in Midtown Manhattan stands the Winter Garden Theatre, a Broadway house that William Albert Swasey originally designed and that opened in 1911. Herbert J. Krapp remodeled it completely in 1922, and its design dates from that work. Its large auditorium, stage and backstage areas make it a favorite for big musicals. It seats 1,600, and New York City has landmarked the auditorium interior.
The theater was adapted from the former American Horse Exchange, finished in 1896. The original facade had several arches along Broadway, which were later turned into a brick wall bearing a large sign. Adam style detailing covers the interior, and the ribbed ceiling had exposed trusses before Krapp's renovation.
Brothers Lee and Jacob J. Shubert first ran the Winter Garden, where early seasons brought revue series such as the Greenwich Village Follies, The Passing Show and Artists and Models. Warner Bros. used it as a movie house between 1928 and 1933, and United Artists ran it as a cinema from 1945 to 1948. Between 1982 and 2013 it housed just two shows, the musicals Cats and Mamma Mia!.
