19 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Leaning arches over the roofs
Each crescent roof is carried on a truss arch that leans outward over the stand, with slim raking columns below. Full detail keeps the arch and column tubes separate; Print friendly adapts them at small print sizes.
- Tier steps and corner towers
The upper tier is tall along the sides and lower at the open ends, and tapered corner towers take the arch ends. A bigger print keeps those steps, towers and the fascia band crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Daegu Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Daegu Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Daegu Stadium
Daegu Stadium, the Blue Arc, is a multipurpose sports ground in the South Korean city of Daegu. Its old name, Daegu World Cup Stadium, gave way to the current one on March 5, 2008. The ground was a venue at the 2002 FIFA World Cup — the biggest stadium in South Korea while that tournament ran — and it went on to stage the Summer Universiade of 2003 and the World Championships in Athletics of 2011 as their main stadium. Daegu FC played at home there until 2018.
Work began in July 1997 and finished in May 2001, at 265,000,000 USD. WS Atkins, an international engineering consultancy, took charge of the roof, which is split into two sections. Each section rests on a steel truss arch, inclined and spanning 273 m while rising just 28.7 m; thirteen secondary arches brace it against a perimeter arch carried on raking columns. Steel in the roof totals 4,350 t, and the cladding is a glass-reinforced fabric canopy with a PTFE coating.
Seating is provided for 66,422 spectators, and there is room to park 3,550 cars. Daegu Airport lies roughly 11 kilometers away, about 20 minutes by road. The Daegu Sports Facilities Management Center runs the ground, which hosts the Daegu Marathon each April and which held the 8th Asia Song Festival in 2011.
About this model
Daegu Stadium is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
