About the Lotte World Tower
Lotte World Tower is a supertall skyscraper with 123 stories, standing in Sincheon-dong, in Seoul's Songpa District, South Korea. It rises 555 m (1,821 ft). It was the fifth-tallest building in the world when completed, and it was the first building in South Korea over 100 stories tall. Planning and site preparation took 13 years before the government gave final approval for construction in November 2010. Piling and frame assembly began at the site in March 2012, and the tower had its official opening on April 3, 2017.
The lantern-shaped diagrid roof structure was completed on March 17, 2016. The roof, which covers floors 107–123, is 120 m (390 ft) tall. Its steel parts weigh 20 tonnes each and measure 12 m (39 ft), and roughly 3,000 tonnes of steel went into it. The roof is engineered to endure winds reaching 80 m/s (260 ft/s) and earthquakes up to magnitude 9, and it carries its own weight without reinforcing pillars. A pale glass exterior draws on Korean ceramics, with accents of metal filigree.
For heating and cooling, the building uses a heat pump system with 720 geothermal probes sunk roughly 200 meters underground, along with water from the Han River. The design also adds rainwater harvesting, wind turbines and photovoltaic panels, plus insulating glass with passive shading. The Seoul Sky observatory occupies the top seven levels, with its entrance and view floors on 117–118, a glass floor on 118, and a lounge at 499 m (1,637 ft), on the top floor.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 150 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 188 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 240 mm | 1:2,344 |

- Tall, tapering crown
- The tower narrows toward a split top. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the crown crisp, and printing slowly with good cooling helps the tall, thin upper section.
- Fine vertical surface lines
- Fine vertical lines run up the tower's sides. Print friendly adapts them to your print scale; Full detail keeps every line, best for a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
- The Lotte World Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Lotte World Tower takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The Lotte World Tower is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Lotte World Tower STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Lotte World Tower grows with the print: about 150 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
