About N Seoul Tower
N Seoul Tower, which also goes by Namsan Seoul Tower, YTN Seoul Tower, Namsan Tower and Seoul Tower, stands on top of Namsan in the center of Seoul, South Korea, and works as both a communications and an observation tower. The structure is 236 meters (774 ft) tall. The country's first tower to serve multiple TV and radio broadcasters, it is regarded as a landmark and a symbol of the city.
Several names are in use. The national and city governments use Namsan Seoul Tower, while its owner, YTN, uses YTN Seoul Tower; either name refers to the whole structure, base to antenna tip. CJ Foodville holds the concession for the observation levels, along with the shops and restaurants on them, and markets them as N Seoul Tower. Locals and Korean pop culture usually say Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower.
Broadcasters and the South Korean government proposed the tower to house commercial broadcasting and communications facilities for law enforcement and security agencies, plus public areas such as a museum, a coffee shop and observation decks. Work began in December 1969. By 1971 the concrete shaft and mast had been topped out, with the observation decks done in 1975. The decks stayed disused until the public was let in during October 1980.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 70 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 88 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 112 mm | 1:2,344 |

- A needle-thin antenna
- The mast narrows to a needle-thin tip high above the observation pod. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm and a slower print speed with good cooling help the tip stay crisp.
- A slim shaft and a ribbed pod
- The shaft is slender for its height, and the round pod has fine ribs around its rim. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale, while Full detail keeps every rib, which suits a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
- N Seoul Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. N Seoul Tower takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there a N Seoul Tower STL I can download?
