Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A round plan, low on the page

The Forum is a round arena, so most of its shape lies in the plan rather than the height. Scale the print up so the roof rim and the walls read clearly.

  2. Smooth curved walls

Curved walls show layer lines on a coarse setting. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the surface and the roofline clean.

  3. One piece with the ground

Kia Forum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Kia Forum takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Kia Forum

An indoor arena for many kinds of events, the Kia Forum, or The Forum for short, is in Inglewood, California, within the Los Angeles area. It is on West Manchester Boulevard, with SoFi Stadium and the Intuit Dome to the north and Los Angeles International Airport roughly 3 miles (4.8 km) to the east. It opened on December 30, 1967, on a former golf course, built by Jack Kent Cooke, who owned the Lakers and was the Kings' founding owner.

Charles Luckman designed the round building, which cost $16 million and was meant to be "reminiscent of Roman coliseums"; Carl Johnson and Svend Nielsen did the engineering. A cable-suspended roof spans about 407 feet (124 meters), and the hall went up without extensive internal support pillars, unusual for an arena of its size. For basketball there are 17,505 seats, for hockey 16,005, and up to 18,000 for concerts, and every seat lies within 170 feet (52 m) of the floor.

The Lakers and the Kings both played at the Forum from 1967 to 1999, and the WNBA's Sparks used it from 1997 to 2001. It staged the NBA All-Star Game in 1972 and 1983, the NHL's in 1981, and Olympic basketball in 1984, as well as tennis, boxing, concerts and political events. The National Register of Historic Places added it in 2014.

About this model

Kia Forum is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
