Make this print opens the generator on a 700 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Columns and ring beam

A dense ring of triangular columns runs from the ground to a deep white beam that forms the flat skyline; nothing rises above the roof. The columns and the promenade stairs between them want a bigger print or Full detail.

  2. Whirlpool roof ribs

The roof is a smooth ring around an open center, crossed by spiral ribs that turn as they run outward. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep those ribs and the truss line along the inner edge crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

Nizhny Novgorod Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Nizhny Novgorod Stadium takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Nizhny Novgorod Stadium

Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, known as Sovcombank Arena, is a ground for football in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod, and the 2018 FIFA World Cup used it as one of its venues. Its capacity is 44,899 spectators; 902 of the seats are set aside for people with limited mobility, together with those accompanying them.

The ground stands in the old quarter called the Spit, or Strelka, where the Volga and the Oka meet, and it looks across the river to the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin on the opposite bank. White, blue and azure make up its palette, colors tied to the Volga region and to water and wind, and the style is a classic one. The roof's metalwork alone comes to more than 11,000 tons, which gives the place its weight, while the facade and the semi-translucent rooftop are meant to lend it lightness.

Construction was long in coming: work was meant to start in 2012 but began only in 2015, under a contract signed at the end of 2014 with OAO Stroytransgaz, worth 16.756 billion rubles and covering 21.6 hectares. The concrete floors and the top tier's platform were finished in 2016, and by the end of that year just over half the roof structure stood in place. The building's projected total area is 127,500 m2.
