Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Masts and stays round the rim

The masts stand round the rim, each with a back leg raking in over the roof and thin stays running to the pillows either side. Print slowly with cooling, and keep Full detail for the stays.

  2. Scalloped edge of the roof

The roof is a ring of pillowed bays whose outer ends bulge over the skin in a scalloped line. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the scallops and the grooves between the bays readable.

  3. One piece with the ground

Rostov Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Rostov Arena takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Rostov Arena

The ground lies in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, and was built for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. FC Rostov, which plays in the Russian top division, has its home there after leaving the Olimp – 2 ground, and the capacity stands at 45,000. Populous presented the final design in 2011, and the irregular roof and stands are what distinguish it.

Groundbreaking in June 2013 uncovered five Second World War shells, almost perfectly preserved. The foundation was done by May 2014, concrete work on the main bowl by November 2016, and the whole building by December 22, 2017. FC Rostov met FC SKA-Khabarovsk in the first game on April 15, 2018, and a friendly against FK Ural marked the official opening on May 13, 2018.

Some of the seating was built as temporary for the World Cup, and without it the capacity would be 42,000. Five tournament matches were played there in 2018, and it was the first big project to go up south of the Don, with the rest of the city sitting to the north.
