9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- The sign above the rim
The arena's name stands on a frame at the roof edge, and its strokes are narrow at print scale. Full detail with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers, on a larger print, keeps the letters readable.
- Canopy brim and glazing
A thin entrance canopy projects well in front of the curved glazed wall, and the two tiers of windows are shallow. Print slowly with good cooling so that overhang holds its shape.
- One piece with the ground
The Ufa Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Ufa Arena takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Ufa Arena
Ufa Arena is an indoor arena in Ufa, Russia, seating 8,522 people, and it opened in 2007. It stands where the Trud Stadium used to be; that older ground was demolished in 2005. The arena then took over from the Ice Palace Salavat Yulaev as the base for Salavat Yulaev Ufa, the Kontinental Hockey League team.
The opening events in the building were the first two matches of a junior series between Canada and Russia, the 2007 Super Series. Construction was still incomplete then, and problems came up with paint fumes, melting ice and fog. In 2013 the arena served as the primary venue for the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, which began in the last week of December 2012 and ended in the first week of January 2013.
About this model
The Ufa Arena is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
