12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Seating tiers and field
A stadium model reads best at a larger size, where the seating tiers and the field edge stay distinct; use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers for the rim.
- One piece with the ground
The Yokohama Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Yokohama Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Yokohama Stadium
Yokohama Stadium is a baseball ground in Naka-ku, Yokohama, Japan. The stadium opened in 1978 with a capacity of 34,046 people and is home to the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. Its nickname is Hamastar, a blend of yokoHAMA, STAdium and baySTARs. That pronunciation also reminded people of the word hamster, and the animal became one of the team's mascots.
The field mixes surfaces: dirt around the bases and the pitcher's mound, an infield and base paths of dirt-colored turf, and turf across the rest of the green area. The stadium was the venue for baseball and softball at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It has also hosted concerts, with Santana and Masayoshi Takanaka playing there in 1981 and Prince bringing his 1986 Parade Tour with The Revolution.
Michael Jackson's Bad World Tour stopped at the stadium for five sold-out concerts in 1987. The venue is a baseball ground first, and the BayStars have called it home since moving to Yokohama from Tokyo in 1978. Each year it stages the qualifying tournament for the Summer Koshien in Kanagawa Prefecture.
