160 m of 14 Wall Street, 45 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Stepped pyramid roof
The roof climbs in many small steps to a point. Full detail at a larger print size keeps each step; a layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm and slower printing help the tip stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
14 Wall Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 14 Wall Street takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 14 Wall Street
Originally the Bankers Trust Company Building, 14 Wall Street rises where Wall Street meets Nassau Street in Lower Manhattan's Financial District. Its original tower reaches about 160 m (540 ft) with 32 usable floors, and a lower annex wraps around it. The tower was built between 1910 and 1912 to a neoclassical design by Trowbridge & Livingston, made for the bank's headquarters.
The tower carries a pyramidal roof of seven stories, modeled on the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. The idea combined that pyramid with a shaft resembling the bell tower of St Mark's in Venice. The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower was the only skyscraper to have used a pyramidal roof before it, since earlier tall buildings usually ended in a cupola, spire or tempietto. Its facade is faced in New England granite, 8,000 short tons (7,300 t) of it.
Shreve, Lamb & Harmon designed an annex of 25 stories, with Art Deco details; it was built from 1931 to 1933 on the sites of three other buildings. Bankers Trust built new headquarters buildings in 1962 and 1974, moved employees out of 14 Wall Street and sold it in 1987. New York City designated it a landmark in 1997, and it also counts among the contributing properties of the Wall Street Historic District.
