Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A stepped side profile

One side of the tower steps back in tiers as it rises. Full detail keeps every step, which suits a larger print; Print friendly adapts the smallest steps to the print scale.

  2. Slim shaft and crown details

The tower is slim for its height and carries a fine window grid and small details at the top. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps the grid crisp, and printing slowly helps the tall shape stay clean.

  3. One piece with the ground

200 Amsterdam is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 200 Amsterdam takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About 200 Amsterdam

The residential skyscraper 200 Amsterdam stands at Amsterdam Avenue and 69th Street on Manhattan's Upper West Side in New York City. It has 112 condominiums. The lot was once occupied by the Lincoln Square Synagogue, which was constructed in 1971. The building reached 51 stories when it topped out in August 2019, and it was completed in 2021.

The developers bought the site for $275 million in October 2015, and the design was unveiled in June 2016. Its original lot was only 1,000 m2 (10,800 sq ft), yet the zoning lot grew to more than 9,300 m2 (100,000 sq ft) once the developers bought the development rights of parking lots at Lincoln Towers next door. That made a much bigger project possible on the small site.

Two community groups began organized opposition in May 2017, arguing that the zoning lot was illegal. A state judge ruled in February 2020 that zoning violations meant several upper floors had to go, but an appeal overruled that decision in March 2021. The finished building includes an amenity area with a swimming pool 23 m (75 ft) long, a spa and a whirlpool.
