About 55 Broad Street

The 30-story tower known as 55 Broad Street stands at Broad and Beaver Streets in Manhattan's Financial District, New York City. A skyscraper called 15 William adjoins it to the east. Emery Roth & Sons built the tower, which was finished in 1967 after construction that ran from 1964.

Goldman Sachs, the trading firm, first used it as headquarters, from 1967 to 1983, and the building kept working as offices afterward. It stood empty from 1991 to 1995 during renovations, and Rudin spent around $40 million on that work. Sun Microsystems was among the tenants that arrived afterward.

Two connected 10-story buildings once covered the site: the earlier 55 Broad Street, dating from 1921 and built in a colonnaded neo-Roman style, and 45 Beaver Street, an annex from 1931. Samuel Rudin bought both in October 1964 and had them demolished to clear the ground. The Rudin Management Company then owned the new tower from 1964 to 2023.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Small rooftop details
The tower has finely ribbed walls and a few small structures on its roof. Print friendly adapts the smallest of them; use Full detail on a larger print, with 0.12–0.16 mm layers, to keep them crisp.
One piece with the ground
55 Broad Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 55 Broad Street takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a 55 Broad Street STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. 55 Broad Street grows with the print: about 33 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
