10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Minarets and crenellations
The two stone minarets and the crenellated parapet are the smallest features here. Print large enough for their tops and edges to read, or use Full detail, with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
The Al-Nasir Muhammad Mosque is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Al-Nasir Muhammad Mosque takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Al-Nasir Muhammad Mosque
The Al-Nasir Muhammad Mosque stands in the Citadel of Cairo, Egypt. It was completed in 1318, and the Mamluk sultan Al-Nasr Muhammad built it to serve as the Citadel's royal mosque, where the sultans of Cairo said their Friday prayers. Across the street is the courtyard entrance of the Mosque of Muhammad Ali.
The hypostyle mosque is a free-standing rectangle of 63 by 57 meters (207 by 187 feet) around an inner court, with the sanctuary toward the qibla and galleries on the other three sides. Its outer walls have little decoration apart from crenellations with rounded tops, giving it an austere look. Two stone minarets rise at the northeast corner and above the main entrance; the northeast one is taller, and the other ends in a garlic-shaped bulb.
The walls were raised in 1335, and both minarets have bases below roof level; that work also added a row of arched windows. The roof was rebuilt at the same time, and a green-tiled wooden dome was placed over the prayer niche. The minarets carry green, white and blue glazed mosaics, a style probably brought to Cairo by a craftsman from Tabriz.
