360 m of the Almas Tower, 100 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Slender tower, slower print
A supertall prints as a tall, narrow column. Slow the print and keep cooling on for the upper floors; 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep the vertical lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Almas Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Almas Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Almas Tower
Almas Tower is a supertall office skyscraper in Dubai's Jumeirah Lakes Towers district, United Arab Emirates, with 68 stories and a height of 360 m (1,180 ft). Its Arabic name means Diamond Tower. It stands on its own artificial island at the center of the Jumeirah Lake Towers development, where it is the tallest of the buildings in the development.
Work on the office tower started in early 2005 and ended in 2008, when the last cladding panels were fitted at the top. It was topped out in 2008 and stayed the tallest building in Dubai until Burj Khalifa overtook it in 2009. Atkins Middle East designed the tower, and Taisei Corporation of Japan constructed it together with Arabian Construction Co.
The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, the tower's developer, moved its offices and the Dubai Diamond Exchange into the unfinished building on November 15, 2008. The tower houses services for the diamond, colored gemstone and pearl trades, including the Dubai Gems Club and the Dubai Pearl Exchange, and diamond cutting and exchange take place there.
