About Dubai
Dubai is the capital of its emirate and the most populous city of the United Arab Emirates. It lies on a creek on the Persian Gulf's southeastern coast. Its population was 4 million in 2025, and 92% of residents were expatriates. The city dates to the early 18th century, when it was a pearling and fishing settlement. Dubai declared itself a free port in 1901 and extended the Creek in 1961; in the 20th century it became a trade hub for the region. Modest oil revenue helped speed development between the 1960s and the 1990s, as the city began to diversify its economy.
Dubai's construction boom started in the 1980s, picked up in the 1990s, and moved at a rapid pace during the 2000s. Many buildings are modern interpretations of Islamic architecture, supported by Arab and international design firms as well as firms from New York and Chicago. The Burj Khalifa, completed in 2010, rises 829.8 m (2,722 ft); its design draws on patterning systems found in Islamic architecture, and its triple-lobed footprint abstracts a desert flower called hymenocallis that is native to the Dubai region. UNESCO's Creative Cities Network recognizes Dubai as a "Design City."

Common questions
Are these Dubai landmark models free?
Yes. All 12 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Dubai landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Dubai landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 8 and 179 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
