211 m of Americas Tower, 57 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Keep the crown steps crisp
The crown has several setbacks and small upright roof details. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the steps crisp, and choose Print friendly to adapt the small rooftop parts to the print scale.
- Preserve the fine facade lines
Fine facade lines cover the tower's sides. A larger print helps retain these details; Full detail keeps every modeled feature for a large print or a fine nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
Americas Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Americas Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Americas Tower
Americas Tower stands where Sixth Avenue meets 45th Street in New York City's Midtown Manhattan. The tower's street address, 1177 Avenue of the Americas, is also an alternative name for the building. The Manhattan skyscraper rises 211 m (692 ft) and has 50 stories. Its designers, Swanke Hayden Connell Architects, combined Art Deco with postmodern architecture. Polished granite in a reddish-pink color forms the facade, pairing that material with the tower's blend of architectural styles.
Work on the tower started in 1989, with completion initially scheduled for 1991. Lawsuits interrupted that timetable: building work stopped in December 1989, then restarted in February 1991. The planned finish and the resumption of construction were therefore in the same year, after the earlier halt had changed the schedule. In 2002, a group of German-American investors bought the tower for a total of US$500 million, adding a later ownership transaction to its construction history.
About this model
Americas Tower is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
