About AREA15
AREA15 is an entertainment and retail complex with an experiential focus in Las Vegas, Nevada, a mile to the west of the Las Vegas Strip and beside Interstate 15. It is home to several major experiential entertainment residencies and has sculptures and other art displays, plus alcohol outlets and a restaurant. Much of it sits inside a large, charcoal-colored building of about 19,000 m2 (200,000 sq ft), with a giant abstract mural on one side of its exterior.
A Mercedes-Benz dealership used to occupy the land. On the site of that former dealership, planning began in 2016 as a joint project of Fisher Brothers and Beneville Studios. They wanted an original concept that could compete with the Strip and chose a science-fiction-themed entertainment and retail complex. The name nods to Area 51, the 1915 founding of Fisher Brothers, and neighboring Interstate 15, and it began as only a working title. Portions opened on September 17, 2020.
Inside, The Spine, the main hall, glows with blacklights and neon and is 300 feet long, 80 feet wide and 32 feet high. Omega Mart, an interactive art installation run by the experiential art collective Meow Wolf, is the primary attraction. It is themed after a grocery store and opened on February 18, 2021. Out front, Art Island is an outdoor gallery whose sculptures originate at the annual Burning Man festival.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 4 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 5 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Low building, shallow lettering
- The building is wide and low, with lettering and mural detail on its walls. A larger print keeps more of that detail; Print friendly adapts it to the print scale and Full detail keeps all of it.
- Small units on the roof
- Many small boxes dot the flat roof. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep their edges crisp at small sizes.
- One piece with the ground
- AREA15 is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. AREA15 takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
AREA15 is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there an AREA15 STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. AREA15 grows with the print: about 4 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
