Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Museum halls and rooflines

A museum building with several halls prints differently from a single tall block. Print friendly adapts small structures to the print scale; a larger print or Full detail keeps their rooflines and wall detail readable.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Bishop Museum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Bishop Museum takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Bishop Museum

The Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum is Honolulu's history and science museum, in the Kalihi district on the island of Oʻahu. Hawaiʻi also names it its state museum for natural and cultural history. It dates from 1889 and is the biggest museum in the state; no other collection of Polynesian cultural objects and natural history specimens is as large. Its natural history holdings exceed 24 million specimens, including more than 13.5 million entomological specimens. Richard T. Mamiya Science Adventure Center is part of the complex.

Charles Reed Bishop, a businessman and philanthropist, helped found Kamehameha Schools and the First Hawaiian Bank, and he built the museum in memory of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, his late wife. As the Kamehameha Dynasty's last legal heir, she belonged to the royal line that governed the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi from 1810 to 1872. At first he meant the building to hold family heirlooms inherited through her royal line. He hired William Tufts Brigham as the museum's first curator; Brigham went on to direct the museum from 1898 to 1918.

Kamehameha Schools' original boys' campus was the site of the museum. In 1898, Hawaiian Hall and Polynesian Hall were built there in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, and a local newspaper called them "the noblest buildings of Honolulu." The National Register of Historic Places includes both halls. Hawaiian Hall displays a complete sperm-whale skeleton, koa wood cases and a stone image of the shark god Kāneikokala set into the floor.

About this model

The Bishop Museum is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
