About the Clérigos Church
The Clérigos Church stands in the city of Porto, Portugal, and is built in the Baroque style. Its Portuguese name, Igreja dos Clérigos, means "Church of the Clergymen". Nicolau Nasoni, an Italian painter and architect active across northern Portugal in the 18th century, created it for the Clérigos Brotherhood. Work on the church started in 1732 and finished in 1750, and the bell tower and the large divided staircase at its front followed in 1763.
The main façade carries heavy Baroque ornament, including garlands and shells, plus a pediment that is both broken and indented, following a Roman design from the early 17th century. The side façades show the nearly elliptical floor plan of the nave. Among Portugal's earliest Baroque churches to use the typical elliptical plan, it holds a main-chapel altarpiece in polychromed marble that Manuel dos Santos Porto executed.
The great tower, the Torre dos Clérigos, stands at the back of the building and went up only between 1754 and 1763. Its decoration shows Roman Baroque influence, while the overall design took inspiration from Tuscan campaniles. At 75.6 meters high, it is reached by 240 steps to the top of its six floors, and it has become the symbol of Porto. Nasoni joined the Clérigos Brotherhood and, at his own request, was buried in the church crypt, though the exact place is unknown.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 22 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 28 mm | 1:3,000 |

- A slender bell tower
- The tower is tall and narrow and ends in a small domed top with a cross. Print slowly with good cooling, and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers; a larger print makes the tower sturdier.
- Carved detail on the facade
- The church front and tower carry many small ornaments and pinnacles. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print or with a fine nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
- The Clérigos Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Clérigos Church takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The Clérigos Church is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Clérigos Church STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Clérigos Church grows with the print: about 22 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
