About Porto
Porto, also called Oporto in English, is Portugal's second-largest city, behind only Lisbon, and the capital of the Porto District. The municipality has an estimated 273,476 people in 41.42 km², while the metropolitan area holds about 1.9 million. Porto lies in northern Portugal, on the estuary of the Douro River, and its urban area stretches westward to the Atlantic coast. In the 2nd century BC the site was a Roman Republic outpost. Port wine takes its name from the city, because cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia packaged, transported and exported the fortified wine.
Porto's cathedral is the oldest surviving structure; others from earlier centuries include the Gothic Church of Saint Francis, the small Romanesque Church of Cedofeita, parts of the defensive walls, and several houses from the 15th century. Baroque decoration is richly represented inside churches, and the Clérigos Church and its tower were designed by Nicolau Nasoni between 1732 and 1763. Théophile Seyrig, a former partner of Gustave Eiffel, designed the Dom Luís I Bridge, which opened in 1886. Porto has its own School of Architecture, and two Pritzker Architecture Prize winners, Eduardo Souto de Moura and Álvaro Siza Vieira, work in the city.

Common questions
Are these Porto landmark models free?
Yes. All 2 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Porto landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Porto landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand about 22 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
