Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A narrow street frontage

The firehouse is slim and sits close to taller neighbors, so the print is mostly its decorated front. A larger print size keeps the small ornaments readable; Print friendly adapts them at small scale.

  2. One piece with the ground

Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 8 is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 8 takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 8

Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 8 is an FDNY station at 14 North Moore Street, where that street meets Varick Street, in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood. It went up in 1903 to serve as the home of Hook and Ladder company 8, a company that had earlier been independent.

The design is credited to Alexander H. Stevens, the city's superintendent of buildings, and it began his series of Beaux-Arts firehouses. The station originally had two vehicle doors. In 1913 the widening of Varick Street cut the building to half its size.

Its exterior became famous through the Ghostbusters franchise. The firehouse was picked as the Ghostbusters' base for the 1984 film, reportedly because Dan Aykroyd, a writer and actor, was familiar with the area and liked the building. Only the exterior scenes were shot there; the interior of the base was filmed inside a studio and a decommissioned firehouse, both in Los Angeles.
