About Hangar H, Copenhagen
Hangar H is a listed hangar on Magretheholm in Copenhagen, Denmark. Of the major land reclamations at the Holmen naval base, Magretheholm came last. It lies outside Christianshavn Rampart and was created during World War I as a new facility for seaplanes.
Christian Olrik designed the hangar, which was built in 1921 and was first known as Seaplane Hangar H53. Until 1950 the site was the base of Marinens Flyvevæsen, which then moved into the Royal Danish Air Force, newly founded at that time. In 2000 Dorte Mandrup adapted the hangar for use as a company headquarters.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Ribbed arched roof
- A wide arched roof carries curved rib lines across its length. Layers of 0.12-0.16 mm and a larger print size keep the ribs crisp.
- Slim end posts and frames
- Thin posts and frames stand at the ends. Print friendly thickens them for the print scale; Full detail keeps them slim, best on a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
- Hangar H, Copenhagen is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Hangar H, Copenhagen takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
