17 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A complex of joined buildings
This city hall is a cluster of buildings rather than one block, so the joins and rooflines shrink first. A larger print and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep them readable.
- One piece with the ground
The Historic City Hall, Cologne is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Historic City Hall, Cologne takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Historic City Hall, Cologne
The Historic City Hall in Cologne, western Germany, is a complex of buildings in the Innenstadt district, set between Rathausplatz and Alter Markt and just off Hohe Straße. Part of the city government works there, including the city council and the Lord Mayor's offices. Germany's oldest city hall stands here; its documented history covers some 900 years.
The complex grew in stages and mixes architectural styles: a 14th-century town hall, a 15th-century Gothic tower, a 16th-century Renaissance loggia and cloister called the Löwenhof, and a 20th-century Modern Movement atrium known as the Piazzetta. The Spanischer Bau, an extension on Rathausplatz, is not directly connected to the main building.
The site was occupied by the Roman Praetorium, the seat of the governor of Germania Inferior until 475, and later by a Merovingian royal residence. A late 8th-century earthquake destroyed that building. Under Archbishop Hildebold, Cologne gained the status of archbishopric in 795, and the neighborhood around the old Praetorium became home to wealthy merchant families and the city's Jewish community.
