20 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A closed bowl of terraces
The seating forms a continuous ring of terraces around the pitch. That ring carries most of the small detail, so Full detail suits a large print and Print friendly keeps it tidy at small sizes.
- Layers on the rim
The rim of the bowl is a long, low curve, and layer lines collect there. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep its edges crisp, and a bigger print gives the steps inside more room.
- One piece with the ground
RheinEnergieStadion is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. RheinEnergieStadion takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About RheinEnergieStadion
RheinEnergieStadion is a football ground in Cologne, Germany, where 1. FC Köln plays. Two earlier stadiums stood on the same site, and the ground was formerly known as the Müngersdorfer Stadion. It has been a host venue at UEFA Euro 1988, at the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and at UEFA Euro 2024, and it staged the 2020 UEFA Europa League final, played with no spectators because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.
Two renovations shaped the stadium, one from 1972 to 1975 and one from 2002 to 2004. A 61,000-seat arena opened on November 12, 1975, with 1. FC Köln beating SC Fortuna Köln 1–0, and that version of the ground served as a UEFA Euro 1988 venue. The later rebuild took out the athletics track, which brings spectators much closer to the pitch than a traditional continental multi-purpose ground with a track would.
Club matches have a capacity of about 50,000, while international games, where terracing is not allowed, hold 45,965. Floodlights cover the whole field, a museum devoted to 1. FC Köln occupies the north grandstand, and the ground sits in Sportpark Müngersdorf beside Aachener Straße. The International Olympic Committee gave it a bronze medal in July 2004 for its sporting and leisure facilities.
