9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A wide station block
The station is a long, low subject at the default print size; a larger print keeps its outline and roofline clean. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers for crisp vertical faces.
- One piece with the ground
The Köln Messe/Deutz station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Köln Messe/Deutz station takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Köln Messe/Deutz station
Köln Messe/Deutz station is an important railway junction in Deutz, a neighborhood of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Long-distance and local trains stop there. It stands close to the Rhine's eastern bank, and the Hohenzollern Bridge links it to Köln Hauptbahnhof, the main station a few hundred meters away. The Cologne Trade Fair grounds sit directly north of the station, which explains the Messe in its name.
The station grew from several earlier stations built from 1845; the basic structure of the present station opened on November 11, 1913. It replaced four stations run by two rival companies, the Cologne-Minden and the Bergisch-Märkische railway companies. Its reception building, finished in 1914, is a three-wing design with a domed center by the architect Hugo Röttcher.
The two-level layout helps ease congestion at Köln Hauptbahnhof. East-west trains use the upper platforms and cross the Hohenzollern Bridge, while north-south services run below between Köln-Mülheim and Troisdorf. Some ICE trains call at Deutz rather than the main station, and many regional trains from the west end their journey here. A south entrance connects the station directly to the trade fair.
