About Liberty Towers, Jersey City

In Jersey City, New Jersey, the apartment complex Liberty Towers, also called Liberty View Towers, has two buildings: Liberty Towers East and Liberty Towers West. Both were built from 2001 to 2003 and stand 380 ft (120 m) tall. The complex has 648 residential units, and architect Jordan Gruzen designed it.

A shared podium carries both towers; it serves for parking and holds a lobby, with a leisure deck for tenants on top. The S. A. Wald Company Building made way for the complex when it was demolished, and the complex was originally named Liberty View Towers. The buildings are postmodern in style and are made of masonry, glass and concrete. The complex stands at the center of the rebuilt downtown area, with access to trains.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Twin towers on one podium
Both towers share a wide podium, so the print stays joined at the base. The towers are tall and curved, so print slowly with good cooling.
Vertical fins on the faces
Vertical fins and curved ends give the faces a ribbed look. Print friendly adapts the fins to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
One piece with the ground
Liberty Towers, Jersey City is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Liberty Towers, Jersey City takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
