12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A wide roof and long walls
A wide museum building has a broad roof, and the roof edge is the line to watch in a print. Print it large enough to keep the long walls straight, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a large museum in the Old Cairo district of Cairo. It was partially opened in 2017 and officially inaugurated on April 3, 2021, when 22 mummies came from central Cairo's Egyptian Museum in an event called the Pharaohs' Golden Parade. It displays 50,000 artifacts, spanning Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times through the modern era.
The permanent collection is divided into chronological and thematic sequences. The chronological areas run from Archaic and Pharaonic through Greco-Roman and Coptic to Medieval, Islamic and modern and contemporary; the thematic galleries cover the Gallery of Royal Mummies, Beliefs and Thinking, Material Culture, State and Society, Writing, The Nile and Dawn of Civilization. UNESCO gave the museum technical help. The Royal Mummies' Hall is meant to suggest a walk through the Valley of the Kings, since most of the mummies were originally kept there; the hall holds 20 royal mummies from the 17th through the 20th dynasties.
The main gallery gives visitors an integrated idea of Egyptian civilization and of its main achievements, with pieces such as the Nazlet Khater Skeleton, the coffin of Sennedjem and the Al Falaha Statue. The Egyptian Textile Gallery holds approximately 600 artifacts, and an ancient dye house going back at least to the first century of Fatimid rule is the only surviving evidence of Cairo's old dye houses. The museum sits next to Ain el-Sera Lake.
