288 m of Plaza 66, 78 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Slanted crown with a thin arm
The top of the tower has an offset, tilted crown with a slim arm reaching across it. Print friendly adapts thin parts like these to your print scale; a larger print or Full detail keeps them as modeled.
- Very fine vertical lines
The tower sides are covered in narrow vertical lines. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp, and print slowly so the tall shape stays steady.
- One piece with the ground
Plaza 66 is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Plaza 66 takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Plaza 66
Plaza 66 is an office and retail complex in Shanghai, China, made up of two skyscrapers and a mall. The mall spans five levels and more than 50,000 square meters. One tower reaches 288 meters (945 ft) and was finished in 2001; the other reaches 228 meters (748 ft) and was finished in 2006. The taller one has 66 floors, which gave the complex its name, and stands at 1266 Nanjing Road West.
The Hong Kong company Hang Lung Properties developed the project under Ronnie Chan's leadership. Architects Kohn Pedersen Fox of New York did the design: James von Klemperer led for the firm and Paul Katz managed the project. In the voting for the 2001 Emporis Skyscraper Award, the building came third.
Floors one to five hold a department store with high-end brands, and many fashion labels opened their Shanghai flagship stores there. M2, among the best-known nightclubs in Shanghai, was in the building until 2010, when it moved elsewhere.
